
Me'dal Kolon Datal (Pronounced Mae'dahl
Kho-lon Dah-tal) is a community-based dance and theater ensemble organized in July 16,2000.
Composed of sixteen members coming
from different schools in the City of Koronadal,
Me'dal Kolon Datal was launched as
a legitimate stage production outfit with its initial presentation of "Sutlang Gubat" , rock
opera/musicale based on B'laan tribal legends, as opening salvo of 2nd T'nalak Festival of South
Cotabato in the same year (2000).
Since then, the group had participated
and won various contests in ethnic and folk dancing. The group now has 45 members, half of which are active and half are in
school.
Recent performances of MKD include:

A 2-month long-nightly shows at the
Clam Shell in Intramurous, Metro Manila, in connection with the Best of the Regions (Representing Region Xll) last May
29 to June 21, 2003.

Command Performance for her Excellency
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and 45 Ministers of Tourism from South Pacific, Asia and Southeast Asia last June 17-18,
2003 at the National Museum and Le Pavillon, in Manila for the World Tourism Congress.

Performed in corporate
shows sponsored by Dole phils, World Tourism Organization, Duty Free Phils, and Department of Tourism.

Participation and eventually winning
as champions in various government sponsored dance contests in ethnic, folkdance, dancesports or ballroom, contemporary and
popular dance category.

Officially selected to perform in Vietnam by the
Philippine Sports Commission in the Turn-Over Rites and Closing Ceremonies of the 2003 Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in Hanoi.
